So I got it and all, but it' really really laggy. I don't understand why though. I found its recommended pc-requirements and i fit all of them. I'm running 64-bit vista, with 4 gb of RAM, plenty of hardrive space, and my graphics card is an ATI Radeon HD 3200. Any help?

Hm, Check your process list (ctrl alt delete), make sure your system idle process isnt leaking....Besides that I would just recommend turn down the graphics and or making sure you got a good internet speed ie wired not wireless

I have a quad-core processor, so I think I should be fine. The recommended spec for COD4 is a lower model ATI though.

Umm, i need help really badly...
the torrent downloaded and i opened the containing folder. it had a CRACK folder and a .iso file.

i opened the CRACK folder and it had another two apps in there. iw3sp.exe and rzr-cod4.exe...
i figured out that the second one is a keygen...
but when i click on the first one, a prompt comes up saying "missing mss32.dll"

Make sure you copy and paste the cracked file (iw3sp.exe) to the installation directory, then right-click the copied file, select "Send To", then click "Desktop". Then close out the folder, and double-click the icon on your desktop. You should be able to play the game then.

I installed just like the instructions and when I click on the the game on my bureaupage I get the error, Directx encountered a unrecoverable error, go to readme.

I have look on the internet and there stand so from you must download a new version of directx I did that, My computer was about 2 hours downloading and now i still get the same error.

arighty ppl . heres a guide.

1. firstly you need a program like power iso or daemon tools(recommended) to mount the dvd image.
2. google the program.download and install it.
3. when you have mounted the image you should see a fake cd-rom drive of the game on your pc.
4. install the game.
5. then copy the crack from the crack folder to the directory where you installed the game.
6. it should work as that is the traditional method of installing games.

i dont know if it works yet but will let you know as soon as i download & install.

and to the guy who cant load the video card thing, either your card is unsupported or youre using and old card which cant run the game.

Since i don't have anything to do, i will tell u how to do the installation. Or atleast how i did it:

1) Download this torrent (well, duh)
2) Open the .iso file with a program that can mount it (PowerISO, Daemon tools, Alcohol for example)
3) Mount it. I don't have that autorun option turned on, so i have to go to My Computer and open it from the cd-drive.
4) Install it. When it asks for the cd-key, minimize the installer and go to:

(Wherever u downloaded the torrent)
> Call of duty 4 [PC-DVD] [English] > crack and open rzr-cod4.exe

Then u take the cd-key and copy it to the installer.

***Some antivirus propgrams may tell u that that rzr-cod4.exe is a virus of somekind. IT'S A FALSE POSITIVE! It's perfectly safe. The antivirus program thinks its a virus, but it isn't.***

5) The installer will also ask if u wan't to install punkbuster. I installed it, don't know if it matters.

6) When it's done installing, go to the crack folder and copy/move iw3sp.exe OR iw3mp.exe (can't remember) to the game folder (where u installed the game).

7) Launch the game by opening iw3sp.exe and it should work.

1. Download this Torrent (With all files)
2. Mout it. (Power ISO, Alcohol ...)
3. When you mout it will show the program where to
install. Just install the game!
4. When is game instelled, go to download folder
When you do this go to "Crack" folder an copy
two files.
5. Go to game directory (Program Files, Activision).
6. Just paste in GAME DIRECTORY, DO NOT PASTE IT

8. Now you are finished and play the game.

For multyplayer you cant play on all servers, you can only play on cracked servers.

FOR MULTYPLAYER GAMEPLAY YOU NEED:

1. Open the multyplayer
2. Go to options and click Multyplayer options

Hello, i dont know if someone's mentioned the same problem before, but i installed the game, and when run Single Player it always says: "iw3sp.exe stopped working", multiplayer works, but in single i can't play:S (i have win7)

you made one mistake, i corected it here:

#knockout-007 maybe you forgot to write, or didn't do at all, but when you copy the server IP and Join Game (make sure Console is enabled in Games Settings) when the console appears, you have to type: /CONNECT [Server IP] if you paste only IP it won't work. Good Luck.

Works really well....includes a keygen.

To get it to work without the cd, just mount the iso using something like poweriso or virtual clonedrive.

as for multiplayer, you need to install the 1.6 patch, then the 1.7 patch, then the 1.7 private server patch....samuelgonz07 has a video on youtube showing how to do it with links to the patches

just replace the cracked .exe from the download with the old one.
